Policy impact achieved: tech startup support in healthcare (in Western Romania)
Once again European Commission-funded projects produce impact !
We are happy to announce that together with our ecosystem partners we have jointly achieved #policy #impact by supporting our regional (county) authority Timiș County Council to develop an action plan that will facilitate #investment for #growth and #jobs in the field of #healthcare (particularly aimed at scaling #tech #startups in this sector via #innovation vouchers and capacity building). The action plan was released and approved last month and will be implemented accordingly.
The strategy development was supported by ACSELL Interreg Europe (Accelerating #SME #Innovation Capacities with a Living Lab Approach) and had as main partners West University of Timisoara, Politehnica University of Timisoara, West Regional Development Agency – West RDA, while being facilitated by Cowork Timisoara, Helixconnect Europe and Banat IT.
As part of the plan, we have infused insights into the startup support mechanism & #livinglab approach from our RiEcoLab Project (funded by EIT HEI Initiative EIT Manufacturing EIT – European Institute of Innovation and Technology) as well from the other two EIT HEI Initiative funded projects that run in our ecosystem: EINS-E3UDRES2 (https://eudres.eu/eins) and INNOUNITA (https://univ-unita.eu/).
